• Trochlear notch creates a u-shaped feature that makes the Ulna easy to remember

• Proximal end articulates with the distal end of the humerus

• In some non-human mammals, the ulna is fused to the radius which restricts the rotation of the limb

  • In mammals with fused radius and ulna, they may be found unfused in immature animals
